You Don’t Feel Valued

If you don’t feel that your contributions are respected, important, and recognized, it might be time to consider moving onto a different position.

However, if you consistently find yourself not being mentally present at work, operating on autopilot, or wishing you were elsewhere, it’s a sign that something needs to give.

Get a clear idea of what you care about in your work life (community, autonomy, social service, etc.) and look for a position that would foster fulfillment for you in these areas. Seek out companies that share your values, as they could provide a more helpful and nourishing work environment.
